Casablanca Ceiling Fans
Say Casablanca and most people immediately think of the Oscar-winning 1942 Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman film, transported many to a world of romance and luxurious elegance. This is the same film which inspired Casablanca ceiling fans, today considered as the finest in the world, each piece expertly crafted and tediously tested to turn into an inspiring masterpiece, a timeless classic just like its namesake.
The Casablanca Fan Company
The Casablanca ceiling fan company was established in 1974 by A. Burton, initially making belt-driven fans for commercial use and then, residential. At the time, most ceiling fans were plain and heavy, focused on function and it was Casablanca that broke the mold, turning the spotlight on ceiling fans as distinctly decorative pieces.
In fact, the very first Casablanca ceiling fans were only decorative, very ornately styled and hardly moving any air. This, however, changed in a few years, as the company made advancements in technology and came up with fans that exceeded in both form and function, beautiful, well-constructed and efficient at the same time – qualities found in their fans to this day.
Casablanca Innovations
Among Casablanca’s technological advancements are its Hang-Tru quick installation system, which makes use of a special canopy and a self-centering ball and the extra-sturdy Perma-Lock downrod. The company is also known for its sophisticated handheld and wall controls, many of which have programmable features.
Casablanca ceiling fans are known for their motors, as well, each engineered to be powerful, energy efficient and long-lasting. The XLP Plus motor, in particular, is the most powerful of its kind and is used in many Casablanca fans, particularly the larger models.
